Music Therapy at Hospice of Frederick County

We offer Music Therapy services to our patients and families to enhance physical and emotional comfort through specialized, clinical interventions with a credentialed professional. The Music Therapist can visit one time or on a routine-basis, depending on the needs of the individual and the visits are included in Hospice services at no additional cost to the patient/family.

Pain management, respiratory comfort, procedural support, and self-expression are some of many goals Music Therapy can address. Live music listening, music-making, lyric analysis, songwriting, and verbal processing are examples of therapeutic interventions used by the Music Therapist. Individuals can receive therapeutic benefits both via active participation or passive presence.

"The Music Therapist was exceptional. I really can't say enough about her. She is an incrediable human being" -Grateful family
