10th Annual HFC/FMH Golf Classic

The weather was very questionable on September 14, 2006, but that didn't stop 144 golfers from coming to the Maryland National Golf Club for our 10th Annual HFC/FMH Golf Classic.

At check-in the golfers received complimentary gifts such as golf shoes, blankets, and much more. After a hearty breakfast, it was off to the greens. In the tradition of the event, lunch was served on the course, with golfers feasting on fresh pork barbeque sandwiches prepared by Dave's BBQ, and pizza. Golfers enjoyed contests such as putting, closest to pin, longest drive, and hole-in-ones, and then the fun continued with the famous and delicious steak and crab cake dinner prepared by The Red Horse Restaurant. The evening concluded with a live auction, 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and awards.

"The whole day was absolutely wonderful—from start to finish," says Hospice Director Laurel Cucchi. "We surpassed our goals with even more success than last year. This special fundraising event, along with many other efforts throughout the year, provides the vital funds that enable us to provide hospice care to patients, regardless of their ability to pay and to offer the community unique services, such as HosPets, Camp Jamie, and numerous bereavement support groups and programs. We're so grateful to all who helped on this day and for their continued support of Hospice of Frederick County."
