how your support makes a difference…
Hospice of Frederick County Fund Donations received by Hospice of Frederick County are placed in the Hospice of Frederick County, Inc. Fund to be used to further the services we provide in our community. These funds support our mission to provide dignified, compassionate care for those who are dying. Community donations also enable Hospice to provide community educations, bereavement support and special programs for grieving children.
Although you may designate one of these service areas, no specific fund designation is required when you make your donation. Funds will be used as needed in the following programs:
Kline Hospice House Program
The Kline Hospice House offers a home-like setting where compassionate care for hospice patients can be provided when a situation arises that prohibits them from staying at home. Room and board costs are assessed based on the financial resources of each resident. Donations to Hospice of Frederick County help to offset the costs for those who are not financially able to pay full room and board fees.
Bereavement Program
Hospice of Frederick County is committed to the welfare of those who are grieving by offering bereavement support to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one. Donations to Hospice of Frederick County enable us to continue to provide bereavement services to the Frederick Community.
Camp Jamie
Camp Jamie is a special weekend camp for children ages 6 – 14 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Camp Jamie is made possible through the support of donations to Hospice of Frederick County and many dedicated volunteers and Hospice staff. Due to the generous donations Hospice of Frederick County receives from the community, Camp Jamie is offered at no cost to the children of Frederick County.
Starfish Fund/Patient Family Program
The Starfish Fund was created to meet special needs related to death, dying, and bereavement, for citizens of Frederick County when other appropriate sources of funding are not available. Here at Hospice of Frederick County, we understand that often there are unique needs that present themselves when a loved one has a life-threatening illness. |
